Home — AgentMCP (Alternative)
Your AI agent.
Every app. Zero glue.
Chatbots talk. Agents do. We connect your AI agent to the apps you already use — email, calendar, WordPress, Notion, your store, your socials — through MCP, the open standard that lets agents discover and use real tools on their own. Set up for you, affordably.
# You say it in plain English… You → "Check today's enquiries, draft replies, and post the best one to Instagram." # Your agent discovers its tools at runtime — no hard-coded glue: tools/list → gmail.search · calendar.today · wordpress.create_post · instagram.publish Agent → "Done. 6 enquiries found, 6 drafts ready for your approval, 1 post scheduled. ✅"
What is MCP? Think USB-C for AI.
MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is the one plug every AI agent and every app can share. Anthropic launched it as an open standard on 25 Nov 2024. OpenAI adopted it in 2025, Google and Microsoft followed, and in Dec 2025 it was donated to the Linux Foundation’s Agentic AI Foundation. It’s not a fad. It’s the plumbing.
1 · The Agent (Host)
Claude Code, Hermes Agent, Muse, Cursor — the AI you talk to. It understands what you want, but on its own it can’t touch your apps.
2 · The MCP Client
The connector inside the agent. It asks each server one magic question: “What can you do?” — and gets a clean list of tools back, instantly.
3 · The MCP Server
One per app. It exposes safe, named tools — search_email, create_post, book_meeting — with permissions you control. The agent picks the right tool and calls it.
MCP vs API: menus vs phone books
APIs aren’t dead — MCP usually sits on top of them. The difference is who does the wiring. With a classic API, a developer hard-codes every connection in advance. With MCP, the agent reads the menu and orders for itself.
📞 The old way — raw APIs
- Every app × every agent = a new custom integration
- A developer reads the docs and writes glue code
- Add a tool? New project. Change an app? Rebuild
- The AI can only do what was wired up months ago
- Costs like custom software — because it is
⚡ The MCP way
- Build once — any MCP agent can use the same server
- Tools are discovered at runtime via tools/list
- Add an app by connecting a server, not by coding
- The agent chooses tools based on what you ask, live
- Standard auth & permissions across everything
What changes when your agent can actually do things
Faster everything
“Summarise today’s leads and draft follow-ups” goes from 45 minutes of tab-hopping to one sentence.
Smarter, in context
Your agent sees the real email, the real calendar, the real post — not a copy-paste you fed it. Answers get dramatically better.
Reusable forever
Connect an app once and every future agent you use can plug into the same setup. No lock-in, no rebuilds.
Permissions, not passwords
Read-only where it should be, approval before anything sends, scoped tokens instead of your master password. You stay in charge.
Future-proof
Claude Code for building, Hermes Agent for always-on automation, Muse for everyday work — MCP is the shared language underneath all of them.
Cheaper than a dev
A bespoke integration agency quotes in weeks and thousands. An MCP setup is measured in days — and a freelancer-friendly price.
Freelancers, creators & small teams wearing 12 hats
Freelancers
Your agent triages client email, drafts proposals from your notes, updates your portfolio site and chases invoices — while you’re doing the actual paid work.
Influencers & Creators
Repurpose one video into a blog post, captions and a newsletter draft automatically. Check comments, schedule posts, track what’s working — from one chat.
Small Businesses
Enquiries answered faster, bookings managed, stock and orders checked, reviews replied to. An always-on ops helper without an ops hire.
Agents we set up & connect
Different agents, different superpowers — the same MCP connections underneath. We help you pick, install and wire up the right combo.

FAQ
Do I need to know how to code?
Not a single line. If you can describe the job in plain English, that’s the whole skill. We handle servers, tokens, permissions and testing.
Is my data safe with an agent connected?
Safer than handing over your password. MCP uses scoped tokens and per-app permissions — read-only where possible, and your agent asks before sending, posting or deleting anything important. You can revoke any connection in one click.
Which apps can be connected?
Anything with an MCP server — and there are 10,000+ public ones: Gmail, Google Calendar & Drive, WordPress, Notion, GitHub, Slack, Stripe, Shopify, Instagram, WhatsApp tools and more. If your app has an API, there’s usually a way.
MCP vs API — do I have to replace my APIs?
No. MCP sits on top of your existing apps and their APIs. It just gives your agent one standard, discoverable way to use them — instead of custom glue for every single pairing.
Claude Code, Hermes or Muse — which agent do I need?
Depends on the job. Claude Code is a specialist for building and coding. Hermes Agent is the always-on generalist that lives on a server, remembers and automates in the background. Muse is the friendly everyday agent. Many people run two together — we’ll recommend honestly on the audit call.
How long does setup take?
A Starter setup is typically days, not weeks, once we have your app list. Bigger always-on builds (like a VPS Hermes setup) take a little longer because we test automations properly before they run unattended.
